Assistant Supervisor (Hpa-An Branch)

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist on Branch Renovation Planning & Coordination.
  • Assist on Pre- Branch Opening Planning & Coordination.
  • Participate in branch feasibility assessments and site readiness checks.
  • Coordinate with Head Office departments (IT, Admin, Business, HR, Security, Compliance, Risk, etc.) for all pre-opening requirements.
  • Assist in preparing the branch opening project plan and progress reports.
  • Support arrangement of branch layout, furniture, equipment, signage, and branding setup.
  • Ensure utilities (electricity, internet, phone lines, etc.) are installed and functional prior to opening.
  • Verify facility readiness as per corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with IT team to ensure installation of computers, servers, ATMs, printers, and network connectivity.
  • Ensure user access creation for branch staff as per role requirements.
  • Assist in ensuring all required licenses, approvals, and notifications to regulators are completed.
  • Assist in conducting soft-launch tests (cash operations, account opening, transactions, ATM testing).
  • Verify availability of forms, stationery, operational tools, SOPs, and workflow guides.
  • Review security drills and emergency procedures with branch teams.
  • Ensure service counters, teller counters, and customer waiting areas are properly arranged.
  • Display required notices, interest rate tables, brochures, and customer information materials.
  • Provide on-site support during soft opening and grand opening days.
  • Post-Opening Monitoring
  • Assist on Prepare opening day and first-week operational reports.
  • Monitor branch performance, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
  • Assist and Ensure any pending items from project plan are completed

JOB SPECIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience in the banking sector.
  • Good knowledge of banking operations, branch processes, policies, risk, and compliance.
  • Experience in processing travel requests and operational documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) and online communication tools (Email, Microsoft Teams, Viber).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication in both English and Myanmar.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Able to work independently, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and work overtime when required.
  • Demonstrates teamwork and effective cross-department collaboration.
  • Positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learn and support ad hoc tasks.
  • Shows integrity, professionalism, respect, empathy, and remains calm under pressure.
  • Contributes to a positive team environment and supports section/department heads as required.
