To manage and support daily payment and receipt operations, ensure accuracy of financial transactions, maintain proper accounting records, and assist in supervising junior staff while complying with financial policies and internal controls
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and review accounting entries related to payment and receipt transactions.
Review and process payment vouchers and supporting documents.
Prepare accounting entries and GL postings.
Ensure payments are properly authorized and supported.
Handle supplier payments, operational expenses, staff claims, and other disbursements.
Conduct daily account reconciliations.
Verify and record incoming receipts and collections accurately.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Monitor outstanding payments and follow up when necessary.
Support daily and monthly operational reports and closing activities.
Prepare reports, schedules, and transaction summaries for management.
Guide and support junior staff in daily operations.
Ensure tasks are completed within deadlines.
Coordinate with departments and vendors regarding payment issues.
Ensure compliance with finance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Assist in audit preparation and respond to audit requirements.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and records.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
Minimum 2–3 years in banking/accounting operations.
Experience in banking or financial institutions is preferred.
Technical
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word.
Knowledge in banking system.
