Job Purpose
To support the Agent Banking Account, Compliance, and Reporting functions by assisting in transaction management, reconciliation, compliance monitoring, internal controls, and preparation of regular operational and performance reports. The role ensures timely, accurate financial and compliance support for the Agent Banking Section under the supervision of the Officer and Supervisor
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
•
Transaction & Account Management
➢Assist in managing daily transactions of agents and agent hubs.
➢Reconcile agent commissions with transaction records to ensure completeness and accuracy.
➢Check discrepancies between successful and unsuccessful transactions and raise issues for correction.
➢Verify transaction settlement to ensure timely commission payments to agents.
•Compliance & Internal Control Support
➢Support the drafting and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal control instructions.
➢Assist in reviewing compliance with approved SOPs, rules, and internal control guidelines.
➢Identify compliance weaknesses and propose improvements to reduce risk.
➢Support routine and spot checks for operational integrity.
•Reporting & Performance Monitoring
➢Prepare monthly performance reports for submission by the Officer/Supervisor to the Head of Department.
➢Assist in preparing ad-hoc reports required by Management and senior leadership.
➢Compile monthly operational and compliance reports accurately and in a timely manner.
•Coordination & Documentation
➢Maintain proper documentation of reconciliations, compliance checks, and validations.
➢Coordinate with other internal departments to resolve discrepancies, compliance issues, and reporting inquiries.
➢Support continuous improvement in reporting processes and data accuracy.
JOB SPECIFICATION
➢ Any Bachelor’ degree or more preferrable professional certifications in banking, financial services, or agent banking operations preferred.
➢Experience in agent banking, microfinance, or financial services is an added advantage.
➢Strong numerical and analytical skills.
➢Knowledge of reconciliations, financial transaction tracking, and reporting.
➢Basic understanding of compliance principles and internal control frameworks.
➢Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analysis tools, and reporting systems.
Technical
•Transaction Monitoring – Ability to review, track, and verify daily transactions of agents and hubs.
•Commission Reconciliation – Skilled in matching agent commissions with transaction volumes and resolving mismatches.
•Compliance & Internal Control Knowledge – Understanding of SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and internal controls.
•Discrepancy Analysis – Ability to identify, investigate, and report irregularities in successful vs. unsuccessful transactions.
•Settlement Verification – Ensures transactions are properly settled and commissions are payable.

•SOP & Documentation Support – Ability to assist in drafting SOPs and maintaining compliance documentation.
Excel & Reporting Tools – Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation formulas), Word, and basic MIS tools.
