Loan Underwriting (Assistant Manager)

Summary :

To support the Section Head by reviewing loan applications, analyzing credit, verifying collateral, and preparing accurate reports to ensure smooth and reliable loan approvals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Check all required documents for loan applications to ensure eligibility for approval.
  • Conduct credit investigations to analyse applicants’ financial status, credit history, property evaluations, and repayment capacity to determine loan feasibility.
  • Verify title deeds and ownership rights of properties.
  • Ensure completeness of credit applications and prepare financial data for underwriting.
  • Complete Synopsis forms for credit applications and submit them to the Section Head.
  • Interview customers regarding business operations and collateral during site visits and prepare site visit reports.
  • Verify customers and guarantors through phone or video calls for consumer loans.

Job Specification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of banking operations, credit risk management, and compliance regulations
  • At least 5–7 years of experience in credit analysis, loan underwriting, or banking sector
  • Strong knowledge of credit analysis, loan policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Skilled in financial data preparation, collateral verification, and risk assessment.
  • Proficient in report writing, documentation, and supporting underwriting decisions.
  • Acting with integrity and accountability in every loan review process.
  • Collaborating effectively with customers and colleagues through clear communication.
  • Following policies and procedures with discipline to ensure reliable loan approvals.
