Assistant Digital Operations Manager

Summary 

The Assistant Operation Manager supports the daily execution and coordination of finance-related operational tasks in Mobile Financial Services (MFS), specifically in cash and non-cash operations. This role ensures timely reconciliation, transaction execution, and issue resolution across fund transfers, merchant settlements, interbank transfers, and government payments. All critical actions and approvals will be aligned with the Digital Operation Manager.

Responsibilities

🔹 Cash Operations

  • Manage Master Agent Fund In/Fund Out processes.
  • Verify daily funding receipts via online banking, share confirmations with E-Money Operations Team.
  • Coordinate physical cash withdrawals and bank transfers.
  • Track and resolve fund discrepancies and complaints with approval of the Digital Operation Manager and HOD.

🔹 Merchant & Government Settlements

  • Oversee merchant cashback and partner settlement disbursements (cash & banking).
  • Coordinate monthly government bill payments (PO creation, agent coordination).
  • Ensure proper signatures, receipts, and reconciliation evidence are tracked.

🔹 Interbank Transfers

  • Coordinate with E-Money Operations Team and H.O bank branches for outgoing transfers.
  • Review supporting docs (withdrawal forms, account info, approvals).
  • Monitor cut-off times (11AM), and collect bank slips for recordkeeping.

🔹 Non-Cash Operations

  • Receive daily system-generated transaction files from MFS BI Team.
  • Coordinate with Bank Digital Team to:
    • Compare transactions with Bank COA and journal entries.
    • Identify discrepancies and follow up with E-Money Operations Team for resolutions.
    • Ensure successful upload of transaction summaries into Bank Core Banking.
  • Examine double entry postings to verify GL and account code accuracy in the Bank Trial.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of Bank Trust Account vs MFS Main Float Balance.
  • Ensure accuracy of the Main Trial and GL with Bank Finance Team.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Work

  • Act as liaison between Finance, E-Money Operations Team, BI, Digital Banking, Loyalty, and Customer Care teams.
  • Support the onboarding and supervision of a new finance ops team member under Digital Operations.
  • Recommend process enhancements and standardization for audit readiness.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
  • At least 4–6 years in finance operations or reconciliation roles, ideally in fintech, banking, or telecom.
  • Strong understanding of core banking systems, journal entries, and GL reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with transaction summaries, digital wallet platforms, and physical fund movements.
  • Excellent Excel and report-handling skills. ERP or financial system experience preferred.
