Merchant Acquisition Management – Assistant Manager

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to drive the Merchant Unit to drive results and reach target KPIs
  • Understands market and merchant territories to both create and extend business opportunities with acquisition
  • Able to design detailed partnership models for both merchants and vendors
  • Maintains and grows strong relationship with merchants
  • Analyze and monitor the existing market trend consistently and able to adjust strategies and plans accordingly to shifts in market
  • Collaborate with relevant business teams to promote the bank’s financial and digital products in accordance with acquiring merchants
  • Tracks and reports the merchant acquisition team’s daily, weekly and monthly performance to Section Head
  • Manage and provide Merchant Servicing and Vendor Management
  • Responsible for leading Merchant Team and defining short/long term tactical plans of the team
  • Frequently influence others outside the organization with similar objectives to accept new concepts or processes
  • Required to modify existing methods and approaches within own scope/role responsibilities without the benefit of existing procedures, but occasionally affects others area
  • Manage and lead team with deep knowledge of a single area within a function/ broad knowledge of multiple areas within a function
  • Execute other duties and projects as are reasonably required of your job, in order to maintain, promote, develop and expand the bank and its interests

JOB SPECIFICATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related fields.
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in merchant acquisition, sales, business development, relationship management.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and achieving sales/acquisition KPIs and targets.
  • Strong knowledge of market trends, merchant acquisition, partnership development, and vendor management.
  • Strong merchant relationship management, negotiation, and business development skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to adapt to market changes.
  • Good leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
