SHWE Rural and Urban Development Bank (SHWE Bank), one of the private banks of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, was incorporated as a limited company in accordance with the Financial Institutions Law of Myanmar and the Central Bank of Myanmar granted a banking license on 28 July 2014. SHWE Bank has established correspondent banking status with OCBC Bank (Singapore), Krungthai Bank (Thailand), Kasikorn Bank (Thailand), Punjab National Bank (India).
