Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary

As a Junior QA Assistant, you will support the QA team in executing test plans, identifying bugs, and ensuring product quality throughout the development cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in daily collaboration sessions with the development and product teams to ensure adherence to quality acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct a thorough review and analysis of system requirements specifications within the Business Requirements Document(BRD) framework.
  • Initiate discussions with the Product Owner (PO) to address issues and propose innovative solutions.
  • Undertake comprehensive investigations into product quality to discern areas for improvement, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise and implement continuous improvement projects aimed at refining product quality standards.
  • Methodically report bugs and errors to both developers and product owners, collaborating closely with the development team to rectify issues promptly.
  • Vigilantly monitor backlog issues to proactively enhance the quality of our product offerings.
  • Performing all types of testing (Both functional, non-functional, and UAT) for mobile apps (ios & android), websites, and web portals.
  • Developing automated test codes and scripts to ensure product quality for mobile apps, websites, and web portals. (Only for the Sanity Testing and Functional Testing).

Additional Tasks

  • Proactively implement measures to prevent the recurrence of identified issues, thus fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Spearheaded initiatives aimed at boosting productivity across all operational facets.
  • Provide invaluable support to ongoing continuous improvement endeavors, leveraging insights from root cause analysis conducted during application testing, thereby pre-empting customer facing bugs and enhancing overall product reliability.
  • Automation testing setup.

 

 Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 1 year of experience in quality assurance, process improvement, or related roles, preferably in the financial services sector.
  • Basic understanding of quality assurance frameworks and process improvement techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with operational management tools and technologies is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
