Legal Department-Junior Assistant

To support the Bank’s Legal Department by assisting in the preparation, maintenance, and filing of legal documents and customer loan case records in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and timely processing under supervision.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in maintaining and managing legal documents, case files, and customer records to ensure files are properly organized, updated, and easily accessible.
• Support the preparation, typing, and organization of customer loan case files, legal contracts, agreements, and related supporting documents under supervision.
• Assist in filing and submitting legal documents to courts and relevant government offices in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal procedures.
• Communicate with applicants and relevant parties to follow up on required information and supporting documents as instructed.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external parties under guidance to support timely case processing.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure proper handling of legal and customer information.
• Perform assigned tasks responsibly in compliance with bank policies, procedures, and professional standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members to support the objectives of the Legal Department .

JOB SPECIFICATION

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Law, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge or understanding of legal documentation and administrative procedures; prior experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and email communication.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work under supervision.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Basic proficiency in written and spoken English and Myanmar language.

Technical
• Basic knowledge of legal documents, loan case files, and related administrative procedures.
• Ability to prepare, type, and organize documents accurately under supervision.
• Basic understanding of court and government filing procedures and willingness to learn required processes.
• Familiarity with document filing systems and record-keeping practices.

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
• Awareness of confidentiality and proper handling of legal and customer information.
• Ability to follow instructions, internal policies, and standard operating procedures
